CEDRUS atlantica GLAUCA FASTIGIATA
Tall densely branched upright growing specimen with grey-blue short needle foliage . This not commonly available selection is a variety well worth planting if a large accent sentinel is wanted . Mature plants are spectacular and have a height to width ratio of around four to one .

CEDRUS atlantica SILBERSPITZ
An uncommon form of the Atlantic Cedar with an upright growing and bushy habit of growth . Needle foliage is grey-blue changing to an odd grey-cream in autumn and springs new growth emerges a creamy-white colour . When established and well grown makes a good feature .

CEDRUS deodara BUSH'S ELECTRA

Commonly known as the Chinese Pond Cypress this deciduous and bushy upright growing tree has sea green cord like foliage that turns a pinkish-orange in autumn at leaf drop . LARIX kaempferi BLUE RABBIT

Very bright golden-yellow soft feathery foliage adorns this Dawn Redwood selection . Autumn foliage changes to rusty-red colouration before leaf drop . The original green species is an exceptionally fast growing thirty plus metres tree but this garden cultivar although reasonably fast growing will not reach those lofty heights . Superb as an avenue multiple planting or as a stand alone choice . Handles wetness .

PICEA abies AUREA JAKOBSEN
Neat and narrow pyramidal medium sized Norway Spruce with yellow-gold needle foliage . The golden foliage colour is displayed mainly on the top sides of its branches where sunlight strikes it . Average growth rate on this selection that performs happily in full sun positioning .

PICEA abies CUPRESSINA
Dark green needle foliage heavily clothes the many vertical branches on this very choice narrow and columnar form of the Norway Spruce . The outline of this selection is very much cigar shaped . Known as the Black Spruce this cultivars family is very hardy and covers a wide range of soil and climate conditions in its native habitat . Densely pyramidal in shape with a medium growth rate and having needle foliage of a subtle not glaring blueish-yellow that becomes more golden in new growth . Top specimen pick .

PICEA omorika AUREA
A narrow upright growing pyramidal selection of the Serbian Spruce . Needle foliage is a pleasant yellow-gold overlaid on blue-green inner growth . Foliage colour intensifies in new growth and younger plants can sometimes suffer sun damage , this problem becomes rarer as the plant establishes .

PICEA orientalis SKYLANDS
Tall elegantly pyramidal and neatly branched selection of the Oriental Spruce . Foliage is bright golden-yellow on the short needles . When in flower , red strobili , and showing the purple cones it produces the attraction increases . Like many golden forms of Conifers can suffer from sun damage on the foliage . This problem is overcome easily by siting young plantings in some northern shade .

A bushy upright growing open tree form with a flat top . The longish needle foliage is a greenish-yellow colour and the yellow tone intensifies in the colder season . The bark on younger growth is a very noticeable orange that contrasts well with the foliage . A good non obtrusive selection .

PINUS nigra GOLDFINGER
Slow growing and bushy in appearance when young but soon maturing into a medium tree form with an upright open habit of growth . Long needle foliage is golden-yellow and produced heavily throughout the branching . Needs to be planted in an open full sun position for best colour .

PINUS parviflora GLAUCA
This becomes a large and bushy form of the Japanese White Pine and is often as wide as high when it is established . The foliage is a bright blue on mid sized needles . The production of numerous cones amongst the foliage is normal for this selection and tends to add to its overall appeal . A very hardy and easy to grow plant if given good conditions such as well drained soil and adequate amounts of sunlight .

PINUS strobus FASTIGIATA
Eventually a tall narrow upright specimen with soft grey-green needle type foliage . Fast growing and very hardy form of American origin . The numerous branches that all grow vertically help to increase the density and give it a Poplar like out line . Happy in full sun in average soil conditions .

TAXODIUM distichum MEKKEN'S GOLD
This rare form eventually becomes a large growing deciduous tree that will thrive in wetter conditions and also will be happy in average garden sites . The foliage is soft and feathery and is distinctly yellow-gold in new growth , as the new growth hardens off it fades to green . It is from the family of plants commonly seen in the American Everglades , known as Swamp Cypresses . Foliage turns a rusty red before leaf drop .
